Urban Tailz provides in-home cat sitting services with feedings, litter scooping, fresh water, and lots of love and pets (if your cat likes that sort of thing). We can administer medications if needed at no extra charge. We can also do small chores around the house like bringing in mail or watering plants. Our cat visits are GPS tracked with instant visit reports (including lots of fun pictures) so you know exactly when your cats were visited. 

Our pet sitters are employees who have been background checked and have gone through a week-long training course before providing pet care services on their own. Urban Tailz is also licensed, bonded, and insured to provide pet sitting services in Chicago.

Can I meet my cat sitter?

A UT Manager will come to your home to take detailed notes and answer any questions you may have. We do understand that you may want to meet your sitter before your scheduled visits, so we will try our best to accommodate your request and schedule a meet and greet with the sitter before you head out of town.

What do your cat visits entail?

We will provide food, fresh water, and scoop litter for your pets per your instructions. We can also do any small chores needed (bring in mail, water plants, etc) while you’re away. If your cat loves playtime or cuddling, we will spend the rest of the visit hanging out with your cat and making sure they get lots of love. We send fun pictures and updates so you know how things are going while you’re out of town.

Can you give medications during the visits?

Of course! Urban Tailz can administer any medications needed for your pets at no extra charge. Please let us know if your cat needs shots, as not all of our pet sitters are trained on giving shots.

How will I know my cat has been visited?

Urban Tailz uses Time to Pet software with GPS tracking. You will receive a notification when the sitter arrives, and then a detailed visit report with fun pics and notes on how the visit went the moment the visit has been completed. The visits are also GPS time stamped so you know the sitter has been to your home.

Our cat sitting clients are able to schedule afternoon or morning visits for the days they are leaving or the day they arrive back home. If scheduling 1 cat visit per day, then an all-day 8am to 7pm visit is scheduled. We offer 4-hr time windows for cat clients scheduling two visits a day (morning and evening visits).

*Major holidays include Easter, Memorial Day Weekend (Sat-Mon), 4th of July Holiday, Labor Day Weekend (Sat-Mon), Wednesday through Saturday of Thanksgiving week, December 23-26, and December 30 to January 2.
