I went to culinary school with aspirations on being the next great chef, but quickly realized the crazy hours and intense atmosphere were not for me. I joined Urban Tailz in 2005, and it's been my home ever since.
I have two wonderful dogs Mucha and Tesla that are my life outside of Urban Tailz. They keep me busy, full of love, and well-entertained. I get to play with lots of kitties and dogs on a daily basis working for Urban Tailz, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I love cooking, but my passion now and forever will always be taking care of all my wonderful furry friends and their owners.
I grew up in Michigan and moved to Chicago in 2007. Chicago has always been my favorite city, and I have always wanted the big-city life. I started working for Urban Tailz in 2009.
I spent 8 years working in the hospitality industry before coming to Urban Tailz. My years working in hotels and customer service have given me invaluable knowledge that translates well to the pet service industry. I strive to make Urban Tailz the Four Seasons of pet services!
I've had animals for most of my life, and my obsession for animals knows no bounds. We have four dogs at home and would probably have more if I didn't already think people thought we were crazy. My dogs are my babies, so I know just how important our furry clients are to their families.
I grew up in Tinley Park and I have been living in Chicago for about 5 years now working as a licensed esthethican. Growing up we always had multiple pets in the house. I have always had a passion for animals, big or small, fluffy or bald. Sadly my current apartment doesn't allow pets making Urban Tailz the perfect way to get my animal fix.
In my free time I enjoy painting, baking, reading, bike riding, and of course my family and friends!
I joined Urban Tailz in 2014. I grew up in a southwest suburb of Chicago. I've been in Chicago sin I began college at Loyola in 2009.
I grew up with a lab named Ben, and then in 2013 I adopted the most energetic puppy in the shelter - my pit bull mix Penny.
Urban Tailz has become a home for me, and taking care of all of our furry friends each day has become a passion.
I'm Joanna, a freelance writer and Kentucky native. I've worked with animals for years, first as a regular pet-sitter and later as a Humane Society volunteer.
I grew up in a house full of pets - dogs, cats, rats, bearded dragons, the works - but I'm currently without a dog and missing one dearly. That said, I can't imagine a better way to spend my days than walking for Urban Tailz!
My hobbies include running, yoga, dipping pizza in ranch and overindulging my two very needy cats.
Hello, my name is Aaron.
After working in Ohio for 4 years as a sales engineer, I moved back to Chicago to live closer to my family. Now I'm working as a freelance Japanese translator and testing my boundaries in the film industry.
I've always been an animal lover. I volunteered at local shelters and had my own dog walking/house sitting business in college. Urban Tailz allows me to get back into it and meet new furry companions. Who doesn't love hanging out with animals!?
Hi! I'm Alison- or Ali- and I have lived in Chicago all of my life. Since moving out of my family home and away from my furry brother Shiloh- he's a little Morkie- I have come to the conclusion that I need dogs in my life. I am unable to have a furry family member in my building, and I have MAJOR dog fever! Being with Urban Tailz helps break this fever because now I get to walk and play with some of the coolest pups in town!
When I'm not walking dogs, I enjoy crafting, baking, working out, sipping cheap wine and eating cheese. Also, my baby nephew is pretty fun to play with!
I grew up on a farm and love the outdoors and animals. Working for Urban Tailz allows me to hang out with great dogs while also being outside on a daily basis.
While I'm not walking dogs, I enjoy working out and doing anything outdoors. I also enjoy riding my scooter around town during the summer months.
Hi! My name is Alma, and I have been working for Urban Tailz almost as long as I can remember. Over the years, I have walked dogs and taken care of cats all over this beautiful city. I love being outdoors and being active, so this is the perfect job for me. When I'm not walking dogs, biking, or skating, I also enjoy playing and watching soccer. I love walking around Chicago and noticing simple beauty, like flowers and butterflies.
Taking care of animals makes me happy, and I will be sure to take great care of yours!
Hi! I'm Amanda. I was born and raised in the best city there is...Chicago! I enjoy working for Urban Tailz because there is nothing more satisfying than seeing a happy animal waiting for you as you walk through the door!
When I'm not with my furry animal friends I like to go for runs and play tennis. I also enjoy checking out different coffee shops and restaurants in the city. And of course, hanging with my friends and family!
I grew up in a small town west of Chicago and moved here around 15 years ago. I love Chicago and don't plan on ever living anywhere else. I live in Humboldt Park with my husband and Pit Bull Dyna. I love all dogs, but I'm definitely a big fan of bully breeds.
I can't get enough of dogs, and working for Urban Tailz gives me the opportunity to be around all sorts of different sizes and breeds. It also gets me out and moving! When I'm not walking dogs I also work at a beer bar where I've learned a ton about beer, and get to try different kinds too. I love watching movies and hanging with my husband and dog.
Hi! I'm Angel! I have lived in Chicago my whole life and have always loved animals. I love being around all kinds of animals, but I'm a dog lover above everything else. Working for Urban Tailz not only allows me to take my doggie friends on adventurous walks, but also allows me to build a bond and friendship with each and every one of them.
My clients know my love for all things Bravo TV, so they usually have the channel listed for me when I'm house sitting with one of my furry friends. There's nothing better than snuggling up with one of my doggie clients while watching Real Housewives!
I grew up in rural Illinois and moved to Chicago in 2005. I now live with my girlfriend, her two kitties Bela and Gus, and our crazy rabbit Choo Choo. I started working for Urban Tailz in 2006, and it has been my home ever since.
There is nothing better than spending my day with all my furry companions! Animals are my life, and I couldn't imagine not being around them everyday.
Hey there! My name is Brittany. I've been living in Chicago for about 4 years now and absolutely love this city. Exploring is one of my favorite things to do during my free time and thanks to Urban Tailz, I'm now able to adventure around Chicago with man's best friend. I've always had such a love for animals since I grew up around so many and I couldn't think of a better gig for myself than hanging out with dogs all day and enjoying the outdoors!
Aside from my love for animals, I am also a free lance circus performer who specializes in fire eating. I spend my weekends traveling to wherever entertainment is needed and I also vend at festivals over the summer selling custom wire wrap pendents.
Hey there, I'm Dan! I was born & raised in Orlando, Florida and have moved to Chicago for all that the city has to offer. Household pets have been an integral part of my upbringing, with an open mind and heart to any and all breeds of dog & cat.
I take pride in walking & looking after pets because it gives me the opportunity to make new friends and give myself some peace of mind. I hope to share nothing but memorable moments and and positive experiences with any furry friends I come across.
Hello, I'm David. I was born in FL but grew up in the Joliet/Plainfield area(southwest burbs). I was raised in a family where everyone has pets. I enjoy spending time with all animals, especially the walks.
In the mornings and evenings I'm a certified trainer, yoga teacher, and holistic nutritional counselor. In the mid day I walk dogs. For fun I love to be helpful, fix and build things, bike ride, write, watch movies, listen to music, meet new friends, and learn new things. I find the balanced combination of helping others, animals and nature, exercise, and eating clean leads to happy health.
Hello! I'm Emilio! I'm 24. Growing up my family always exposed me to a wide array of exotic animals, due to the rural locations they inhabited and the positions as ranch veterinarians and research biologists they held. I grew to love, respect, and be completely fascinated by ALL of our fellow sentient living organisms; from the lowly workaholic ant to the 15ft long deadly snuggler boa constrictor snake. Yet if I'm being completely honest I did develop a bit of favoritism in the animal world, and to me personally there is a standout species: Canis lupus familiaris AKA ♥Dogs♥. Although very common and domesticated worldwide, to me nothing beats man's best friend, because well it's in the tagline, man's best friend. I very much am obsessed with our loyal, dopey, playful, cute, needy, protective furry friends. And Urban Tailz allows me to spend fun quality time with doggies while getting much needed fresh air and exercise outside.
I say "much needed fresh air and exercise" because professionally I work as a video editor and have to spend long hours sitting in front of a computer screen stitching and tweaking narratives. The recreational things I enjoy the most are: Korean variety shows, weight lifting, running, cycling, filmmaking, comics, sculpting with clay, cooking, swimming, sailing/boating, stand up, and watching movies.
Hey there, I'm Emily! When I'm not studying to become a counselor at DePaul, I'm walking your dog while taking in the great city of Chicago.
I've grown up with animals my entire life; from cats to dogs, to even chinchillas and mice! So rest assured that your pet is in loving hands. Animals hold a special place in my heart, and I'm so lucky to be doing this as a job!
I have lived in Chicago my entire life, growing up in the now-booming Logan Square area. I've worked for Urban Tailz since 2014.
I don't have any pets at this time, but I often have my niece and nephew over, whom many have confused as chimpanzees. Urban Tailz allows me to play with lots of animals on a daily basis, which I love.
When I'm not working for Urban Tailz, I love playing music, and I consider myself an avid cinephile.
Hi, I'm Greg. I grew up in the western suburbs and relocated to Chicago in 2015. I graduated from DePaul University with a degree in media and cinema studies.
Part of my interest in dogs started as I became a volunteer at adoption centers in Chicago, mainly PAWS and Anti-Cruelty Society. Spending time with my furry clients give me more exposure as well as great entertainment.
I love watching Chicago sports, especially the Bulls. I also enjoy cooking and watching movies.
I grew up in Iowa with a dog constantly by my side. Camping trips, walks, soccer, and frisbee were just a few of our favorite activities! One of the things I look forward to most about going back home is playing with my favorite friend again. Now that I am in the city, I couldn't think of a better way to spend my time than giving a little love to other amazing animals!
I am a freelance production assistant in the Chicago film and TV industry. When I am in between projects, you can find me on walks with dogs making more memories!
Hi! My name is Holly, and after eight years of working in corporate finance & consulting I am now pursuing my dream of being a dog walker! I grew up in Wisconsin with a household of animals, including, among others, two (large) dogs, two cats, and a litter of five kittens that we adopted and raised. A lot of my early years were spent learning about and caring for everything from grasshoppers to butterflies to my own pets. I now have one cat, Nitty, a 16-year-old senior who enjoys snuggling and sleeping, and get my dog fix through Urban Tailz as well as volunteer work at PAWS.
Animals have a lot of admirable traits that humans can learn from, and that's why I love working with them. I believe in the power of consistency, play, and unconditional love in building a trusting relationship with any animal, and find joy in learning about the quirks and personalities that make each of them unique!
In my free time I enjoy cooking, ping pong, and running (which comes in handy when walking high-energy dogs!)
Hi! My name is Iliana and I live in the Humboldt Park area. Dogs are my favorite, as I've had a shihpoo and golden retriever as a kid. I love meeting new dogs and getting to play with them and give them love!
I am currently studying architecture and fine arts, and hope to get a degree in the future for construction sciences. I like to build things and work with my hands. I usually bike places with my friends in my spare time and love going out downtown and exploring the city!
Hey, I'm Jason! I'm a long time dog lover, experienced pet care professional and master belly rub administrator. I'm knowledgable in canine behavior and psychology as well as have experience with basic training!
I work closely with your dog with the goal of getting to know them personally to understand their individual needs and personalities. Personally, I believe dogs are a true gift in life to us, and there are few things as special than the deep, loving bonds we develop with them.
When I'm not caring for our canine companions, I'm a musician, audio engineer and a vocalist. I'm also an avid cyclist, occasional writer, and deep-dish pizza enthusiast

Hi, my name is Jeremy, and I moved here from Iowa in 2011. I love living in the Logan Square area, especially when I'm doing aerial photography with my camera drone.
I grew up with two Dachshunds back in Iowa. We rescued Hershey from a breeder who thought she couldn't breed anymore and then Hershey gave us Dude. I miss them both and really enjoy getting some time away from work on my computer so thank you for letting me walk your pet. :D
I've grown up around dogs and cats for most of my life, and have great affection for them. Joining Urban Tailz was an easy decision -- the owners and staff are terrific, and few things make me happier than spending time with animals. Our furry companions need care, exercise, socialization and love, and I'm committed to providing them with plenty of each.
When I'm not doing Urban Tailz, I can usually be found in Logan Square, where I live, or on the near south side. I'm interested in art and how it means what it means.

I soon will be taking courses on animal behavior and breeds. I used to run cross country and track so I have no problem taking your pups for a stroll! In my free time you can typically catch me outside, at concerts, or baseball games.
I grew up in Maryland and moved to Chicago 3 years ago. I have a great pitbull mix Penny who is almost 2 now!
I love working for Urban Tailz because I get to be outside, and I get to walk dogs. Who could ask for a better job? Exercise and being outside all day, plus hanging out with some great pups every day is a pretty sweet gig!
I went to Illinois Champaign-Urbana and have a BFA in acting, which I put to good use in the city in my night hours. I also am a founding member of Definition Theatre Company in Chicago, so look for me on your stages/tv screen when you ask your dog how our awesome walk was!
My name is Krystle! I moved to the city from Rockford, Illinois shortly after attending make up school downtown. Walking dogs and taking care of cats has always been a part of my life. I've loved animals since I was a little girl, from nursing sick squirrels back to health to raising rescue cats. I currently have 3 cats of my own, (one with special needs) and a dog back home. Hi, I'm Mariah! I grew up in Naperville, IL but moved to Chicago about a year and a half ago. I am currently a student and a receptionist at a hair salon downtown.
Since I was a child, I have always had a passion for animals. I had a variety of pets growing up such as birds, rabbits, cats and dogs. It has been a dream of mine to adopt a dog of my own and I finally made that happen. Just recently, I adopted a Schipperke mix named Dakota. She is extremely active and always keeps me on my toes. My love for animals is unconditional and I believe in treating every animal I meet as if they were my own.
Hi I’m Mary Kate. I am originally from West Virginia and went to school at Ball State University for Musical Theatre. After I graduated in 2014, I moved to Chicago for the theatre scene. I did a few fun shows and worked full time at a restaurant but soon realized I didn’t have much balance in my life. Enter Urban Tailz…
My family has always had dogs and I have walked a few professional, so when I started looking for new opportunities Urban Tailz was a perfect fit. I get to help take care of dogs all day, you say? Yes please. When I am not doing the acting thing, I love running and exercising. However, I’m sure my furry friends would make me eat those words if we went toe to toe… or would it be tail to tail or nose to nose? Anyway, I don’t have a dog of my own but I do spend quite a lot of time taking care of the beast that is my hair. It takes some serious grooming, so if your dogs have any stylists they like, I would love a referral. I am always excited to build new relationships with my clients and their owners ;) Have a great day!
I moved to Chicago in 2006 from Nebraska, and strangely enough, was not a football fan. I joined Urban Tailz in 2007, and I've become so fond of all my doggie friends. Going on long walks, teaching new tricks, and giving good scratches behind the ears are my specialty. When I'm not playing with my furry friends, I enjoy painting and creating things.

I grew up in Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago. Sadly, I did't have any furry pets growing up only frogs, lizards, and fish. Shortly after studying jazz guitar performance at the CCPA at Roosevelt University I started acquiring a small zoo. I now share a home with the sweetest little Rat Terrier, a rambunctious Rhodesian Ridgeback, and a clowder of three strong-willed cats.
I'm also an avid cyclist and have been a fixture on the Chicago messenger and alley-cat racing scene for over a decade now. I came to Urban Tailz to spend my days making new animal friends and maybe some people ones too!
Hi there! My name is Sean and I originally hail from way out west in Phoenix, AZ. I moved to Chicago 8 years ago to pursue music as an audio engineer, songwriter and producer. I've had the good fortune of being able to travel the country playing music to hosts of wonderful people and find that making real human connections in the world is such a rewarding passion.
That's also something I love about being able to walk dogs in the city! It keeps me on the move and engaged with the world outside. And of course there's always the companionship you get hanging out with your pups every day! I feel that creating strong, trusting bonds with animals is often just as rewarding as with people.
Hi! I'm Shannon. I'm from the Southwest suburbs of Chicago and went to school in Chicago at Harrington College of Design.
I grew up with a lab/rottweiler mix named Misty and currently have a Shepherd named Ruca. Besides growing up with dogs, I have spent time volunteering at the Humane Society in the west suburbs. Urban Tailz gives me an opportunity to continue to be around animals!
I grew up in a small town in Bulgaria and my childhood was full of every-day adventures, mostly shared with my dog Dessy. Couple of years later I moved to the capital of my country - Sofia but outdoor activities stayed in my life as something essential. I love animals, being outside in nature, hiking or climbing in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. There's no better way for me to enjoy all that but to share it with my 6 year-old black lab Chopper.
Even though I graduated in Molecular Biology I've always knew I'd peruse career in photography because that's something I've been doing with so much passion since my early teenage years. In 2012 my work took me to New York City where I was filming most of my days; but I missed my dog so badly that I started walking dogs in my free time. It happened to be the best moments spent in NYC - it was fun, kept me active and was like a therapy after a stressful day. I was amazed by the positive energy this job gave me and humbled by the respect and trust that I've been getting from all my clients.
Two years later I moved to Chicago to start a project for the Bulgarian International TV Channel but my love for dogs is right here with me :)
I joined Urban Tailz because they are experienced, dedicated and flexible. I believe in good care and a personal, outside of the box pet service. I am happy to be a part of the Urban Tailz team!
Hi! I'm Summer. I grew up in Indiana and for the past 10 years I've lived abroad. My husband and I moved to Chicago this past year.
My entire life I've been around animals and heavily involved with rescues amd re-homing of animals. Currently, we are not able to have animals so I look forward to my daily dog time on the walks! Nothing beats a puppy kiss!
Hi! I’m Stephanie, I was born and raised in the lovely city of Chicago. I lived in many areas throughout the years but I currently stay in the Austin neighborhood. I joined Urban Tailz because I absolutely love dogs! Ever since I was a kid I’ve always loved dogs and spent most of my time with my family’s pets. I just love being able to walk these beautiful dogs and making sure they’re nothing but happy!
When I’m not spending time with my furry friends I work another part time job at Mariano’s in the evening. I also like to spend time inside watching Netflix and cuddling with my dog Twix.
I moved from Colorado to Chicago about 20 years ago to intern at the Art Institute of Chicago (my favorite museum). I continue my study and love of art and design when I am not caring for my family, cat, garden and other furry friends.
I tend school gardens (with chickens!) and greenhouse plants as a master gardener, draw, make curry stews and enjoy long walks and bike rides with my husband and two sons. For me, dog walking is a great way to get outdoors and enjoy the city with fun, energetic, adorable pups.
I lived in Michigan my whole life growing up in Kalamazoo. I moved to Chicago in June 2017 after graduating from Western Michigan University. I've always wanted to live in a big city with something to do everyday.
I wasn't able to bring my dog with me and it was one of the harder things I've had to do. So I decided I would spend my time with other dogs to at least be around these amazing animals. When I'm not walking dogs I work at Chicago Athletic Clubs as a personal trainer, explore the city, and chill with my friends. I know how much a dog can feel like family and I'll always treat yours like it was part of mine.
